Following the example of others, DSM is officially sponsor of NHL Solarboat Racing since this week. DSM provided us with a special resin which was used for the vacuum infusion of the outer skin of the C-class boat last Tuesday. One of the employees of DSM in Zwolle also went to NHL University of Applied Sciences for providing his assistance and working with the team for a day. In comparison with other resins for vacuum infusion, this ‘custom made’ resin is cured in about 3 hours. By using this resin we can continue with building the C-class boat faster then with other resins. This is a must due to the timeframe in which the boat has to be built.
