First we want to wish everyone a Happy New Year once again insofar as this has not happened yet. The first week of the new year is clearly a week during the holidays. Almost no work is done and everyone is charging their battery for upcoming semester in which the race will be. The intention is to discuss everything in the second week of January and based on that make a plan towards the DONG Energy Solar Challenge 2012. Everyone has to give everything they have to make NHL Solarboat Racing one of the likely candidates for the World Title.
Bauke Bekkering, composites specialist, keeps working on the A-class boat of NHL Solarboat Racing during this week. During the presentation on the 15th of December the hull of this boat is shown to the public. At the moment Bauke is injecting the inside skin of the hull with resin by vacuum infusion. He is also working on the preparation for making the deck of this boat. This means that at the moment everyone is present again, the hull is almost finished.
