The solarboat, which is built for the university of Liyang, has made a trial run in Leeuwarden last Wednesday. During this trial run the boat appeared to have enough potential to sail fast and be manoeuvrable enough. Broadwing, a partner of NHL Solarboat Racing, recorded video footage of this with a UAS, an unmanned aerial system. A compilation of this video footage will be made soon and then will be placed on our YouTube channel.
Besides the progress that is made on building several boats, a part of the team is working behind the scenes on improving the website. With a few more details which have to be changed, the website is almost finished. It can happen that some parts of the website don´t work correctly so we want to ask for your understanding once more.
Finally we, NHL Solarboat Racing, want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with a lot of sun. We hope to welcome you again as a visitor of our website in 2012.
